Innovative legacy game
Welcome to Green Jar, a kingdom ruled by a generous Eternal King. In his immense goodness, the King issued a decree which would result in the establishment of new settlements outside the Kingdom. Six exceptional townspeople were selected for each of these places, who, thanks to their very useful skills, will become pioneers in these very distant regions. The king promised a prize to the one who would contribute to the development of the region to the greatest extent, rewarding it with Eternal Glory!
Charterstone is a competitive economic game with a legacy system for 1 to 6 players. Our task will be to develop a newly founded settlement on the outskirts of the kingdom of Green Jar. With each batch, we will discover new fields and opportunities by opening mysterious boxes with components inside the box.
During the first game, players have a limited number of fields at their disposal. During the next games, players will change this situation by sticking new buildings to the board and discovering the contents of closed boxes with components. At first, a very simple game will turn into a game of unprecedented depth and a multitude of decisions to make, and the small settlement will grow into a bustling town!
The adventure with Charterstone will last twelve games, but unlike most legacy games, this title is not a one-off! The game offers an equally interesting experience after the end of the campaign, as well as during its duration. Right after the last game, you can immerse yourself in the world of a unique economic game, which will take place in a unique village created by us.
What is the legacy system?
One of the most innovative board game systems in recent years. Legacy games dominated the top ranking of board games, BoardGameGeek, and became a major component of the success of Pandemic Legacy, which was ranked number one for many months.
The legacy system introduces an element of permanent change to the game made by the players themselves or the manual. Their common feature is the recording of players' progress from the game to the game and the impact of this notation on subsequent games. In Charterstone, in each subsequent game, new buildings will appear in the form of board stickers, or additional rules stickers or stickers that replace the previous rules pasted into the manual, and with them new cards, pieces and other elements.
Due to the fact that the players themselves decide about the progress of the game, each game provides a new experience. We will notice the changes between the first and the second game, but also in conversations with other players who have their copy of the Charterstone game. The unique legacy mode in combination with the competitive economic game is a guarantee of uniqueness and extremely interesting choices to make.
