The second edition of the strategy game based on the great series of books by Georg R. R. Martin & nbsp;
The updated second edition introduces a number of improvements to add variety to the time spent on this board game. Contains elements from previous expansions, including ports, garrisons, savage and siege cards, while introducing many new innovations. Comfortable player screens will hide your actions from the eyes of prying players, and new battle cards will extend the experience of warfare. This, together with the current art and rules, has made time never more conducive to sitting on the iron throne.
King Robert Baratheon is dead and seven principalities fall into chaos. The six great families of Westeros begin a bloody war for the deserted Iron Throne:
- House of the Lannisters
- Stannis Baratheon
- Greyjoy House
- House of the Starks
- Tyrell House
- House Martell
When armies gather and rage is in the air, the destruction of principalities is inevitable.
Based on the best-selling series "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R.R. Martina, Game of Thrones - The board game allows players to take control of one of the ancient Houses of Westeros and claim the right to the Iron Throne.
Immerse yourself in a game full of clever intrigue, prudent force deployment and diplomacy. Taste a Song of Ice and Fire.
What is it about?
Five players - five families. Each of them wants to sit on the Iron Throne and rule the lands of Westeros. The king who controls the most regions containing cities or fortresses after 10 turns will be the king.
Each turn consists of 3 phases - the events phase, orders and actions. The most important phase is certainly the orders phase - here you secretly give orders to your units from other players (by placing order tokens next to them, with their backs up) - then you also make alliances, decide whether to trust your allies or whether it will be more profitable attack them.
The event phase also provides a lot of excitement - it can bring Mobilization (i.e. recruiting troops), Attack of the Savages on the lands of Westeros or the Clash of Kings - one of the more exciting elements of the game, among others.
During the Clash of Kings, the position is auctioned in 3 areas of influence:
- The Iron Throne (determines the order of the players during the game)
- Sloth - decides about winning draws in battles.
- Royal Court - represents the espionage network of a given House, and as a result - the strength of orders that can be issued.
The closer to turn 10, the more alliances falls apart, the more often the knives are stuck in the back. Well ... when the stake is at this rate, expect your opponents to be pity or scruple.
