Far Cry Primal is yet another installment of the Far Cry franchise - a popular FPP action game series developed by Ubisoft. The game is a full-scale spin-off of the franchise offering a unique experience in the Stone Age. Story Background

The action of the game takes place roughly in 10.000 BC, in a wild land called Oros. It's a beautiful, but dangerous place, full of majestic views and savage beasts. The player takes on the role of a man named Takkar - an inexperienced hunter of the Wenja tribe. Takkar is known and respected by his people not only for his combat skills but also for the unique ability that allows him to tame even the most dangerous beasts of Oros.

Gameplay Mechanics

Far Cry Primal features a number of mechanics that are well-known to every fan of the franchise. However, because of the unique setting, the gameplay offers a completely new experience. Instead of running with an arsenal of various long-range weapons, players will spend most of their time wielding self-crafted, close-combat weapons like spears, maces, etc. Most of the time, players will spend exploring Oros, completing various missions for NPCs, and of course, fighting enemies. The biggest difference from the previous 'Far Cries' is the fact that the game is much more focused on personal, face-to-face combat. Regardless, it is worth mentioning that the game gives us total freedom in terms of how we play it. Even though the action of the game takes place in the Stone Age it doesn't mean players will be forced to use limited weaponry. To match the specific time period, the arsenal that developers prepared is primitive and lethal. In the game we will find throwable spears and maces, throwing knives, bows, and even various types of bombs. What's interesting, players will have to make most of their weapons from the resources scattered across the map, as the game puts a big emphasis on crafting. Utilizing Takkars unique ability to tame wild beasts wandering the game's world is one of the most essential gameplay mechanics in Far Cry Primal. Players can tame almost every predator and use it as a companion in combat. Different types of animals feature unique traits and abilities - for example, wild cats are great for sneaking and attacking from surprise, bears are extremely durable maulers, while wolves will be a great help on hunts.

Far Cry Primal: Special Edition features an exciting DLC mission - Legend of the Mammoth. Players will have an opportunity to enter the Spirit World and uncover its mysteries.
