Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Ubisoft. The game is another instalment in the Assassin's Creed series, and this time it focuses on pirates. The player takes control over the character of Edward Kenway, a former Welsh privateer that has fully embraced the pirate life.

Plot

The Caribbean Sea is fraught with pirates as they gained this territory and established their Republic. It is corrupt and full of greedy pirates willing to do anything for their own goals. A young captain named Edward Kenway has made a name for himself amongst thieves and pirates, even legends such as Blackbeard. With too much attention and recognition, however, also comes more danger.

Gameplay

Assassin's Creed IV is an action-adventure game with an open world that the player is free to discover. There are three main cities: Havana (under Spanish influence), Kingston (under British influence), and Nassau (controlled by pirates). However, smaller locations play a role as story points. The protagonist meets numerous historical figures, and the player also learns about connections to future characters.

AC Black Flag Gold Edition Additional Content

Extra content included in AC Black Flag Digital Gold Edition grants the player access to a Season Pass, which adds a brand new single-player story and new characters for multiplayer. Moreover, this edition adds many costumes to the player inventory, bonus missions and relics.
