One of the most acclaimed video game franchises in the history provides us with Gears of War 4. A new saga about the history of war between humans and Locusts. As a son of Marcus Fenix (the main hero of previous installments) you must rescue your loved ones. You're not alone, two new characters Kait and Del are going to help you. Gears of War 4 is a new chapter of the story

Marcus Fenix, is already a middle-aged man. Thus, the story takes you 25 years in the future. You are James Dominic (JD) Fenix. Together with your friends, Kait Diaz and Delmont "Del" Walker, you are one of the outsiders. A group of people who live outside of the walled city-states of COG. Each day is a fight for survival. After your last raid for supplies on one of COG settlements, you came back to the village. The victory was short-lived though. Your home was attacked first by COG soldiers and shortly after by unknown creatures. Only you, Kait and Del were saved from the onslaught by heroic actions of your mother. However, during the battle she was taken away by monsters. Now you have to save your family and learn who it the new enemy.

Gears of War 4 gameplay goes one step forward

Just like the previous installments, Gears of War 4 is a TPP shooter with a cover system. This time though, producers decided to give you a few new options. The cover system is more dynamic than before. For example, you can use the elements of the environment for your own advantage. The enemy is under the cover, which you cannot break? No problem, just blast off the ceiling and let the gravity finish the job.

The weather – a friend or a foe?

The planet has not yet recovered from Locust war. It is a desolated place and the Imulsion countermeasure completely changed the climate. There are four different kinds of storms on the surface of Sera. Some of them mightinfluence the battle. A strong wind can change the direction of a bullet, while lightings might kill both you or the enemy. You can use it for your advantage or die just like the others.
