The search for a new Minister of Trade continues in the capital of Rajasthan. As one of the best in your trade, you decide to take up the challenge and amass more riches than your opponent. During the following weeks of rounds, you will visit the marketplace to collect and sell a variety of goods. Who will be smarter?
Jaipur is a popular, two-person game in which participants play the role of traders dynamically exchanging goods at a common market. By drawing cards on your hand and exchanging them for other ones, you will try to collect sets of the chosen resources and then exchange them for currency. Individual goods differ in value, and it pays to sell larger amounts of the same good at once to get bonus points. The winner is the player who wins 2 rounds with the Seals of Recognition.
What is it about?
Each player has goods cards in their hand. During his turn, he may take one of two actions:
PURCHASE, that is:
- taking a single item card from the market and replacing it with a new one
- exchange of cards from hand to cards from the market in the ratio 1: 1
- Take all camels from the market and replace them with new goods cards.
SALE , i.e. replacing a set of goods of one type with tokens of the appropriate color.
This is how we trade dynamically until the 3 colors of tokens run out or the pile of goods cards runs out.
What makes the new edition special?
This version is a redesigned box, cards and tokens. The gameplay itself has not changed.
- 55 cards
- 60 tokens
