Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is the prequel to the entire Metal Gear series.

Most of the series' defining gameplay elements have been carried over and as before, Snake must use stealth and wits rather than brute force to infiltrate enemy zones and eliminate his major adversaries. Unlike the previous games, this installment takes place in a large outdoor jungle.

Snake is able to use camouflage, climb trees, hide in tall grass or wear clothes that make him less noticeable.

Key Features:

• New mechanics: The game introduces new mechanics such as CQC combat, Survival Viewer, and Alert Phases.
• Movement and Controls: The movement is mostly the same as previous installments, with some new additions to navigating through the wilds of Russia.
• CQC Combat: CQC has been changed from previous installments, giving you a wide-range of things to do while fighting unarmed or with specific CQC-able weapons.
• Survival Viewer: New to Metal Gear Solid 3 is the Survival Viewer. This serves as your menu screen where you can do several important things, such as eating, using the cure menu, changing your inventory loadout, changing your camouflage, and checking the map.
• Food and Curing: Eating and injury management are core gameplay features in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, where Snake must survive in the harsh environments without any external help, being forced to fend for himself.
