Elden Ring

Genre:Action RPG

FromSoftware’s latest magnum opus is naturally one of the fantastically and evilly difficult games that will kick your butt millions of times before you more or less figure out what’s going on here.

Elden Ring

Set in a dark fantasy world, Elden Ring is an open-world action RPG which offers much more freedom. This makes it more accessible than its developers’ previous outings, as you can choose which boss you want to take on or not. If someone’s too tough to beat, you can just ignore them and move on to the next target. Coupled with incredible atmosphere, fun gameplay mechanics and pretty unique storytelling, this game is one of the most fascinating releases of 2022.

Key features
  • It’s pretty much like Dark Souls/Sekiro/Bloodborne, but with the open world mechanic
  • You get a mount named Torrent who helps you explore the Lands Between
  • Nuanced combat allowing different approaches, including stealth
  • You can summon spirits who act as allies aiding you during battles

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

Developer:Traveller's Tales

LEGO games by Traveller’s Tales might have been fun, but this formula has run its course a long time ago. This is why TT decided to give it a major overhaul, making the new installment in the LEGO Star Wars series a refreshing experience.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

The core mechanics are still there and the game’s probably still best played with a buddy in co-op, but there are so many fun additions to the gameplay, including open-world exploration outside of the levels based on each of the Star Wars saga’s episodes. Some of these ideas have been introduced in the previous game, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but it seems that The Skywalker Saga has perfected them. If you’re a fan of either Star Wars or LEGO, this one’s probably a must. Heck, just get it and have fun!

Key features
  • All nine Star Wars movies in one fun package and forty-five story levels in total
  • Plenty of collectibles, random events, dogfights and worlds to explore
  • You can choose between actual voice acting and the famous mumbles and grunts
  • The only TT game built using the NTT engine

Hell Let Loose

Developer:Black Matter Pty Ltd

The next game on this list is a hardcore online first-person shooter for those who love demanding titles and hate Call of Duty. Or those who love the idea of Battlefield, but hate Battlefield.

Hell Let Loose

Hell Let Loose gives you an opportunity to take part in massive, 50vs50 battles that are a re-imagining of iconic events of World War II. You play as either Germans, Americans or the Soviets in two modes: Warfare and Offensive. Both are about capturing and holding control points, with the latter requiring the attacking team to capture all CPs before the timer runs out.

There’s even an RTS-inspired strategic layer that involves resource management. The game feels like if the Company of Heroes was a first-person shooter, essentially. It’s brutal, it’s demanding, it’s really satisfying. Try it out if you’re bored with the mainstream titles.

Key features
  • Americans, Germans and Soviets as playable nations
  • Each team is divided into smaller squads consisting of a varied number of soldiers, depending on the type of the team: rifle, armored or recon
  • Base building and resource management mechanics are also featured, handled by players designated as commanders
  • Two game modes available, both focused on capturing control points

No Man's Sky

Developer:Hello Games

This game has a troubled history. Very promising at first, it underdelivered upon release. Well, that’s quite an understatement, to be honest. Still, many updates later, No Man’s Sky got so much better and is now seen as one of the better space exploration games available at the moment.

No Man's Sky

Built around four pillars – combat, exploration, survival and trading – the game lets you explore a procedurally generated universe full of planets with unique faunas and floras. When it comes to conveying the excitement of space discovery, No Man’s Sky does deliver. So, if you’re looking for a great open-world game, this one should totally be on your list of titles worth considering.

Key features
  • Procedurally-generated universes with over 18 quintillion planets to discover and explore
  • Proper survival and crafting mechanics are featured here, of course
  • Really makes you feel like a space explorer
  • It’s even more fun in the multiplayer mode, because the more the merrier!

Developer:Shiro Games

The Vikings have landed on the newfound continent of Northgard. It is up to you to lead them in their conquest, as this land is crawling with dire wolves, the undead and other wonders (and terrors).

When it comes to the gameplay, it seems to be inspired by The Settlers, a classic city builder slash real-time strategy game. Northgard is all about building thriving settlements, managing your resources wisely, surviving harsh weather conditions and constant expansion. If you want to play with your friends, go ahead – you can either compete with them or co-operate against AI-controlled opponents.

If you feel like you’re ready to earn your spot in Valhalla, grab Northgard at a great price now!

Key features
  • You become a leader of a Viking clan bent on conquering a wild, untamed continent
  • The single-player campaign tells the story of Rig, a prince seeking vengeance
  • Various ways to achieve victory: conquest, fame, lore, trading and so on
  • Multiplayer modes are also available

Resident Evil Village

Developer:CAPCOM CO., LTD.

Village continues what Resident Evil: Biohazard began. It’s a unique take on the survival horror formula offered by the series. Instead of a soldier or a cop, your character is a civilian without much combat experience. You get to explore the titular village freely. Instead of zombies, you need to fight the werewolf-like Lycans who are as cunning and deadly as it gets.

Resident Evil Village

This means you need to take into account whatever resources you have and decide if you want to use firearms, maybe conserve ammunition and go melee instead, or perhaps just run away from your enemies. RE: Village is quite an experience, so if you’re looking for a survival horror with actual survival elements, this might totally be your jam.

Key features
  • A snowy Eastern European village to explore – it’s snowy, large and pretty immersive
  • The Lycans are challenging enemies, if you love demanding opponents, you’re in for trouble here, real trouble
  • Still, Ethan Winters underwent military training and is now a much more skilled combatant, which is a relief
  • The typewriters have returned!

Planet Zoo

Developer:Frontier Developments

Alright, we got to hand it to them Frontier Developments’ boys and girls: they made a fantastic zoo sim. It looks gorgeous and really gives you the impression that the animals in your park are living, breathing beings.

Planet Zoo

Naturally, it’s a tycoon, so there’s plenty of things to manage here and lots of expenses to cover. But you will also spend lots of time (and money) on building the best habitats for the animals where they can feel at home. More down-to-earth than Jurassic World: Evolution, it’s no less ambitious, even if it doesn’t feature any dinosaurs. But lions, giraffes and red pandas, among others, are surely just as wondrous!

Key features
  • Over seventy species in the base game and additional sixty plus in the DLCs
  • Over a thousand building pieces that you can use to make your dream zoo come true
  • Several game modes available, including some limited multiplayer capabilities
  • The game even features…animal poop physics

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series

Developer:Telltale Games

Telltale’s take on The Walking Dead series surely gained a cult following. It’s essentially an interactive TV show whose most important aspect is the captivating plot and the meaningful choices you get to make, but there are also some more traditional adventure game aspects here, such as talking to other characters, examining items and exploration. There are also tons of quick time events.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series

The Telltale Definitive Series edition features various improvements to the gameplay and visuals. It’s a collection of all released episodes, including the four main seasons and spin-offs. This means over fifty hours of gameplay. If you love story-driven games and horrors, this one is totally a title that you should at least consider picking up.

Key features
  • Over twenty three episodes available, including spin-off games
  • A gripping narrative and plenty of fantastic characters that you’ll meet along the way
  • Meaningful moral choices to make throughout the course of the plot
  • Various improvements in the graphics department

Genre:Action & Shooter
Developer:Offworld Industries

Here is a yet another title for all the Battlefield haters/hardcore shooter lovers out there. While Hell Let Loose is about World War II, Squad focuses on modern military conflicts instead. It’s actually a spiritual successor of Project Reality, a Battlefield 2 mod from 2005 that made the base game much more realistic and punishing to encourage proper teamwork and co-operation between the players.

This is true for Squad as well. If you’re unable to work with your squad mates like a cohesive unit would do, you won’t do any good here. Success demands effective team leaders, building forward operating bases and establishing proper logistics networks. If your faction lacks that, you’re toast. Squad is demanding, but super rewarding nonetheless.

Key features
  • Large-scale battles featuring infantry units, armor and attack helicopters
  • Each team consists of several squads of up to nine soldiers each and every trooper serves a particular function, as per their class
  • There’s even a strategic layer with base building and supply route planning – neglecting it will be the cause of your team’s downfall
  • Eight playable factions, including real-life and fictional ones, with the latter modelled after real-world militias and insurgents

Farming Simulator 22

Developer:Giants Software

And last but not least, probably the best agriculture sim to this day. Farming Simulator 22 is a complex, yet wonderfully accessible game that lets you do all the farmer stuff you dreamt of as a kid: growing and harvesting crops, animal husbandry and managing production – everything needed to run a successful farmstead.

Farming Simulator 22

The latest in the series, Farming Simulator 22 introduced tons of new gameplay elements. OK, some aspects might be a bit off, but it’s a highly enjoyable title that you should totally try it out if you’re looking for a game that’s highly relaxing despite the challenges that you need to face in it. So, start your tractors’ engines and get to harvesting!

Key features
  • The game features over four hundred farm vehicles and implements
  • There are seasonal cycles, plenty of new crop types, and production chains
  • Various improvements to the visuals and DirectX 12 support make this game look good
  • Farming is just super fun!

Alright, so these fantastic games are merely just a fraction of what you can get on our marketplace at a lower price. Use these as inspiration to explore the offers from the sellers on G2A.COM and see what you can grab for cheap.

Have fun and remember: you lose when you overpay!
