In these FPS games, there was no shortage of heroes, villains, and sometimes even good characters who got a little lost. Their paths merge on the planet Pandora, where are treasures, Vault Hunters, and badits.

The first part came out in 2009 with four playable characters: Brick, Lilith, Mordecai and Roland. In the part 2 they became NPCs, and new characters were available to players: Axton, Salvador, Maya, Zero, Gaige, and Krieg. In 2014 Borderlands:The Pre-Sequel! was released and a few years later Borderlands 3 along with new figures.

Handsome Jack

Jack, or actually John, first appeared in Borderlands 2 as the main antagonist.

He took his current name after getting a Vault symbol and covering it up with a mask. Despite his narcissistic personality, he turned out to be a loving husband and father. After a tragic event that resulted in the death of Handsome Jack’s first wife, his daughter Angel was enslaved by him and became, in a sense, his private A.I. with access to the Hyperion Network.

As president of the Hyperion Corporation, he has set his sights on the planet Pandora, where he has become a dictator.

Tiny Tina

Her maniacally lovable personality is a reflection of a traumatic experience.

She was born 13 years ago on Pandora, but after the arrival of the Hyperion, she and her parents were captured by a Human Trafficker and sold for experimentation.

Witnessing the deadly torture of her parents, she is the only one who manages to escape from the ship using a grenade hidden under her dress. It was then that her love of explosions was born. After meeting Roland, a Commander of the Crimson Raiders, he becomes a father figure to her.

Claptrap

At the beginning of the series, his character did not stand out. Made by Hyperion he informed players about missions and was repaired by them when he was shot.

In the Pre-Sequel, developers paid more attention to him. They highlighted his depressed personality and from then on he became an individual character who likes to dance.

The reason why this always friend-seeking, sometimes annoying robot is disliked by the rest of the characters shows up in the Claptastic Voyage DLC. Wanting to help his companions, he sometimes helps all too much often having the opposite effect.

Lilith

Lilith belongs to the group of original Vault Haunters from Borderlands, and the fact that she is one of the strongest women in the entire galaxy adds to her charm.

As a Siren, she has some magical abilities. After drinking Eridium, the woman becomes stronger and due to Phaseshift, can literally move mountains and be invisible.

She is not another character who does everything half-heartedly, if she fights then she does it fiercely and doesn’t care about the consequences. This is what makes the role of commander very suitable for her, sometimes it is necessary to be able to take risks.

Mordecai

Gaige

Gaige built in high school a semi-autonomous robot Deathtrap for a project to combat bullying. In Borderlands 2 developers made her playable in DLC.

Due to an unforeseen situation, when one of the students stole Gaige’s designs, the machine detected the girl as a threat and killed her.

The owner had to flee her planet and was helped by her father distracting the authorities. Then she set off for Pandora to discover the secret of the Vault and try out her powers. The extra feature that sets her apart is her fully mechanical arm, used to replace a real one. This allows her to control the Deathtrap remotely.

Maya

At a young age, Maya was given to the Order of the Impending Storm because the powers of Sirens showed in her.

She trained under the watchful eye of the monks for many years, until she realized she was being used for money. The monks portrayed her as a savior and a goddess, which easily helped them intimidate and put the bite on civilians.

Eventually, she left to explore Pandora, where she met other Vault Hunters. Her power is Phaselocking, enabling her to suspend foes in midair rendering them incapable of fight.

Moxxi

Moxxi is a non-playable character who provides you with missions. This owner of several bars on the planet Pandora is also a hostess and a commentator of the Underdome. It’s there in the arena that her real, sadistic site shows up.

At Moxxi’s you can get some rare weapons by dropping a certain amount into her Tip Jar. In addition to the interesting armament, you can also catch a show of dance moves and she will also grace you with wisecracks.

She also turns out to be a mother of two children, and deep down a member of the Hodunk clan, from which she escaped with her descendants.
