Dune: Awakening is an upcoming survival MMO game set in the world created by the legendary Frank Herbert. It takes you to the desert planet of Arrakis, the only known source of a drug known as melange or, more commonly, the spice.
It’s known to extend lifespans and boost mental powers, but the most important boon is enabling interstellar travel, a task which human brains without the spice supplement are unable to handle. This makes it super valuable and the planet of Arrakis becomes a stage of a brutal war between House Atreides and House Harkonnen, both fighting for control over this precious rock.
Gameplay-wise, Dune: Awakening is all about surviving and thriving in the harsh desert conditions. You’ll spend time managing your thirst levels, building bases, engaging in diplomacy and doing some PvP as an agent of the Bene Gesserit. Your task? Find the Fremen, who have mysteriously vanished from the planet. By the way, the game is set in an alternate timeline, so don’t expect to meet Paul Atreides, as he simply wasn’t born.

Standard Edition
This is the most basic edition of the game. It comes with the base content which unlocks on June 10, 2025, plus there’s also: the Terrarium of Muad’Dib (cool if you loved that iconic little mouse from the movie) and the Sunset Dye Global Swatch, two items you can get with this package if you pre-order Dune: Awakening.
In general, this is the best option for you if you just want to play the game, but you’re not interested in any extras or earlier access to the game.
Deluxe Edition
This option is great for those who want to get their hands on the game earlier. The game features all stuff available in the Standard Edition, as well as Head Start (the afore-mentioned advanced access), the Season Pass giving you access to the post-release DLCs, and some additional items.
Ultimate Edition
This one’s for collectors and Dune afficionados. The Ultimate Edition comes with all the perks available in lower tiers, as well as a whole bunch of other digital goodies, including the iconic stillsuit of Paul Atreides from the 2021 movie, the Caladan Palace Building Set, as well as digital artbook and soundtrack.
