During the SKALD: Against the Black Prior, you step into the shoes of a character who, leading the team of six, intends to solve the mystery of the eponymous abbey and face the out-of-this-world threats lurking there.

Traveling the wilderness of Freymark and the Outer Islands, as well as descending into the depths of the dungeons spreading beneath them, you get to know the inhabitants of this land, carry out the tasks assigned and face opponents.

It is an old-school RPG with a turn-based combat system, inspired by the Cthulhu mythology and the 8-bit classic from Commodore 64. The title was developed by the independent company High North Studios from Norway. The graphic design is maintained in a retro pixel art style and colors which relates to classic games of the past.
