Adapting a PlayStation Icon

The God of War live-action series is yet another project within Sony’s strategy of expanding PlayStation IP into TV.  After The Last of Us and Twisted Metal, fans are hoping for a faithful adaptation, transferring the game’s tone, father-son dynamic, and mythological themes to television.

The series is expected to adapt the Norse-era storyline rather than Kratos’ earlier Greek saga, following a shift that introduced a more grounded, character-driven narrative centered on his relationship with Atreus.
