Battlefield 6 currently includes 11 maps in standard multiplayer, plus Fort Lyndon, which serves as the dedicated Redsec Battle Royale location. That gives you 12 total environments, though only 11 rotate in the regular multiplayer playlists.
The number alone does not tell the full story. Several maps are divided into combat zones, so you are not always playing the entire space. A location that feels wide and vehicle heavy in Conquest can turn into a controlled infantry fight in smaller modes. The structure shifts, even if the setting stays the same.
Map Design Philosophy
Battlefield 6 supports up to 128 players in large-scale modes like Conquest, while also offering Breakthrough, Domination and Gauntlet. Instead of building many small standalone maps, the design reworks large environments depending on player count and objectives.
Liberation Peak is a clear example. In full Conquest, aircraft influence large sections of the map. In segmented playlists, specific areas become isolated infantry lanes with limited air pressure. That approach keeps the rotation familiar without making matches feel identical.
Launch Maps
Empire State places you in dense Brooklyn streets where vertical infantry combat dominates. Rooftops, stairwells and interior spaces overlap constantly, and vehicles barely factor into the outcome. Control of elevation usually decides momentum.
Iberian Offensive moves to Gibraltar and focuses on flanking routes and elevation changes. Partial destruction prevents defensive setups from becoming static. Light vehicles assist mobility, but they rarely define the match.
Liberation Peak stretches across a mountainous military zone. In 128 player Conquest, helicopters and jets shape positioning across open ground. In smaller modes, segmented combat zones reduce vehicle pressure and narrow the engagement space.
Manhattan Bridge builds fights around the bridge structure itself. Armor and aircraft operate nearby, yet layered cover beneath the overpass changes how vehicles approach objectives. As destruction spreads, defensive lines shift naturally.
Mirak Valley is the largest standard multiplayer map and leans fully into combined arms warfare. Long sightlines favor tanks and aircraft early on, while trench systems provide limited protection for infantry crossing exposed terrain.
New Sobek City pairs open desert with half finished construction sites on the outskirts of Cairo. Vehicles move comfortably across the dunes, yet once combat shifts indoors, the vertical layout inside those skeletal buildings favors squads that move together and control angles rather than players trying to force solo plays.
Operation Firestorm brings the refinery back into focus, with wide desert stretching around its industrial core. The metal structures act as natural strongholds, and once one team establishes vehicle presence, pressure on the outer objectives tends to follow.
Saints Quarter strips vehicles out of the equation and compresses the fight into a dense Old Town grid. The central courtyard rarely stays quiet for long, but the surrounding destructible buildings create room for flanks and slower, more deliberate rotations.
Siege of Cairo moves between tight interior lanes and exposed courtyards where armor plays a supporting role near key capture zones. Teams that coordinate movement inside buildings while maintaining vehicle support outside usually hold control more reliably than those leaning too heavily on one side of the fight.
Seasonal Maps
Blackwell Fields, introduced in Season 1, shifts combat to the California Badlands. Long sightlines and limited cover make positioning and air awareness critical.
Eastwood centers on a suburban district built around a golf club. Open lawns allow vehicle movement, but residential blocks quickly shift engagements back to close range infantry combat.
Fort Lyndon
Fort Lyndon exists exclusively for Redsec. In Gauntlet mode, sectors function as focused objectives. In full Battle Royale matches, the entire environment supports longer rotations between points of interest rather than constant close quarters fights.
