The EA SPORTS FC 27 Web App and Companion App are live. The Web App launched on September 16, 2026, followed by the mobile Companion App on September 17. Eligible Ultimate Team players can use them to manage squads, complete SBCs, work on Evolutions, claim rewards, adjust tactics, and use the Transfer Market if their account has market access.

You do not need to be sitting in front of FC 27 to reorganize half your club at 1 AM because an SBC expires tomorrow.

The Web App runs in a browser, while the Companion App brings the same basic Ultimate Team management idea to iOS and Android.

There is one important catch, though: being able to log in does not automatically mean you can use the Transfer Market. Returning players may already qualify, while new players have separate unlock requirements.

Updated September 18, 2026: FC 27 Early Access is live. This guide reflects EA’s current Web App, Companion App, Transfer Market, and Graduated Access rules.

What are the EA FC 27 Web App and Companion App?

Both apps let you manage your Football Ultimate Team without opening the full FC 27 game.

The Web App works through a browser. The Companion App is the mobile version for compatible iOS and Android devices.

Log in with the same EA Account connected to FC 27 and your Ultimate Team club and squad should load automatically.

They are particularly useful around launch because eligible returning players can start organizing their Ultimate Team before Standard Edition even unlocks on September 25.

They are not cloud-streaming versions of FC 27. You cannot use them to play Rivals, Champions, Squad Battles, Rush, or regular matches. For that, you still need FC 27 on a supported gaming platform.

The practical difference is mostly where you want to manage the club.

A browser is easier when you are already at a PC. The Companion App makes more sense when you want to check the market, finish an SBC, or change your squad without being anywhere near your console.

What can you do in the FC 27 Web App and Companion App?

EA currently highlights several major Ultimate Team features in the apps.

Use the Transfer Market

If your account has the required access, you can search for Player Items, bid, use Buy Now, list Items, and manage your Transfer List without starting FC 27.

Complete SBCs

You can work through Squad Building Challenges, exchange eligible Items, and claim the resulting Players, Packs, or customization rewards.

That is particularly useful during live promos when SBCs can rotate quickly.

Manage your squad and tactics

You can reorganize your starting XI and adjust tactical options, including Roles and Focuses, before playing on PC or console.

Work on Evolutions

The Companion experience supports managing Evolutions, including improving eligible Player Items and applying cosmetic Evolutions.

Claim rewards

EA’s current app listing says you can claim eligible rewards from modes including Champions, Division Rivals, Squad Battles, and Ultimate Team Events without loading the game itself.

What the apps do not replace is actual gameplay. Squad management happens here. Matches happen in FC 27.

Who gets early access to the FC 27 Web App?

EA opened the FC 27 Web App on September 16 and Companion App on September 17.

For early access as a returning player, EA says you need to have:

  • logged into Ultimate Team and created a club in FC 26, FC 25, or FC 24 before August 1, 2026
  • kept that Ultimate Team club and EA Account active
  • an account in good standing

That lets eligible returning players begin managing their FC 27 Ultimate Team before the Standard Edition release.

If you are completely new to EA SPORTS FC, the apps cannot create the full FC 27 experience for you from scratch. You first need an Ultimate Team club associated with FC 27 through the game.

EA also says that after November 7, 2026, continued Web App and Companion App use requires you to have logged into FC 27 Ultimate Team on PC or console at least once.

Why is the FC 27 Transfer Market locked in the Web App?

This is where the launch rules get confusing.

Web App access and Transfer Market access are not the same thing.

A returning player may receive automatic Web/Companion market access if the account is in good standing and had previously earned Transfer Market access in an earlier FC title within EA’s eligibility dates.

Previous gamePrevious market access needed before
FC 26August 1, 2026
FC 25August 1, 2025
FC 24August 1, 2024

If you qualify, the market should already be available through the FC 27 Web or Companion App.

If not, EA says you have to earn access through normal FC 27 Ultimate Team activity.

How do new FC 27 players unlock the Transfer Market?

FC 27 introduces Graduated Access for new players.

Inside Ultimate Team, new accounts may need to complete three Objective Groups in order:

  1. The Academy Grind
  2. First Team Dreams
  3. Rising Through the Ranks

Completing Rising Through the Ranks unlocks the route toward full in-game Transfer Market and Champions access.

EA says full Transfer Market access can then take up to 48 hours on PC or 24 hours on other platforms. During that waiting period, players may be able to list Items but cannot yet search, bid, or use Buy Now.

Important: completing Graduated Access does not automatically unlock the Transfer Market inside the Web App and Companion App. EA treats companion-tool market access separately.

How many active days do you need for Web App market access?

EA defines an active day as a UTC calendar day where you:

  • play three full Ultimate Team matches
  • log into the Web App or Companion App

If your account is in good standing and no other Ultimate Team account has been used on the same device, EA says Web/Companion Transfer Market access will normally arrive after around two active days.

If other Ultimate Team accounts have been used on the device, it will normally take at least four active days and can take longer.

Grinding 20 matches in one day does not accelerate the process. EA specifically says playing more than three matches during the same active day does not improve your chances.

There is also no manual shortcut. EA Support cannot simply grant Transfer Market access or tell you the exact moment your account will receive it.

How to log into the FC 27 Web App or Companion App

The most important rule is simple: use the same EA Account linked to the version of FC 27 you play.

  1. Open the official EA SPORTS FC Web App or install the official Companion App.
  2. Sign in with your EA Account.
  3. Complete any security verification EA requests.
  4. Check that your FC 27 Ultimate Team club and squad load correctly.

If the wrong club appears, or no club appears at all, do not immediately create or link another account. First verify which EA Account is connected to your gaming platform.

Using two different EA Accounts is a very efficient way to turn a five-minute login problem into an evening with account support.

Why can’t I use the FC 27 Transfer Market?

If the market is missing or locked, work through these possibilities:

  • you qualify for the apps but not automatic Web/Companion market access
  • you are a new player and still need to complete Graduated Access
  • you have not accumulated enough qualifying active days
  • multiple Ultimate Team accounts have been used on your device
  • your account has a restriction or enforcement action

One useful FC 27 change concerns previous bans.

EA says a FC 26-specific Transfer Market ban does not automatically carry into FC 27. However, that player will not receive automatic FC 27 Web/Companion market access and will need to earn it again.

A broader EA SPORTS FC franchise ban does carry over.

What should you do first in the FC 27 Web App?

If your Ultimate Team account is already eligible, there is no need to make launch week more complicated than it is.

  1. Check your club and returning rewards. Make sure the correct Ultimate Team account loaded.
  2. Build a usable starting XI. Do not worry about creating the final squad of the year on day one.
  3. Check available SBCs. Use obvious duplicate or unwanted Items carefully rather than dumping everything immediately.
  4. Claim available rewards. Packs and other rewards can give you more options before playing.
  5. Review Evolutions. An early Evolution may change which starter Items are worth keeping.
  6. Use the market if you have access. If it is locked, follow the proper unlock process instead of repeatedly relogging and hoping the button gets intimidated.

The Web App is most useful as a preparation tool. Get the administrative work out of the way so that when you launch FC 27, you can actually play football.

EA FC 27 Web App and Companion App FAQ

When did the EA FC 27 Web App launch?

The FC 27 Web App launched on September 16, 2026. The Companion App followed on September 17.

Can I use the FC 27 Web App before buying the game?

Eligible returning Ultimate Team players can receive early Web App access before Standard Edition launches. However, EA eventually requires an FC 27 Ultimate Team login on PC or console to continue using the apps.

Can I play FC 27 matches in the Companion App?

No. The Web and Companion Apps manage Ultimate Team. You still need the full game to play matches.

Why don’t I have Transfer Market access?

Transfer Market access is separate from basic Web App access. Returning players may qualify automatically, while newer accounts need to earn access through FC 27 activity and may need multiple active days before the market becomes available in the Web and Companion Apps.

How long does Web App Transfer Market access take?

EA says an eligible account with no other Ultimate Team accounts used on the device will normally gain access after around two active days. If multiple accounts have been used on the device, it normally takes at least four active days and may take longer.

What counts as an active day?

EA currently defines it as playing three full Ultimate Team matches and logging into the Web or Companion App during the same UTC calendar day.

Does completing Graduated Access unlock the Companion App market?

No. Graduated Access unlocks the route to the in-game Transfer Market and Champions for new players, but EA explicitly says it does not automatically grant Transfer Market access in the Web or Companion Apps.

Manage now, play later

The FC 27 Web App is not exciting because it lets you stare at digital football cards from another screen.

It is useful because Ultimate Team involves a surprising amount of work that does not require an actual match.

SBCs, transfers, rewards, Evolutions, squad changes and tactics can all be handled before you sit down to play.

Just remember the one rule that causes most launch-week confusion: Web App access does not guarantee Transfer Market access.

If the market is locked, check your account eligibility and follow EA’s unlock process. Refreshing the page 47 times remains unsupported as a progression mechanic.
