Romance in Starsand Island runs on a clear five-heart system, but reaching the final stage takes consistency. The reward for maxing out a relationship is the Move In option, which allows a character to live with you. Building affection is not just cosmetic. Higher heart levels unlock gifts, access to private rooms, and additional interaction options that make daily progression smoother.

There are 15 romanceable characters marked with a Bond tag in the Social app. Eight are bachelorettes and seven are bachelors. The system does not restrict romance choices based on your avatar’s gender, so every Bond character remains available regardless of how you created your character.

How Affection Builds and What is Most Important

Affection increases through clearly defined actions. Each activity grants a fixed number of points that fill heart levels over time.

Daily conversation provides at least five points. The gain is modest, but steady and reliable.

Gifts have a stronger impact. Loved items grant fifteen points. Liked items grant ten. Giving a disliked item reduces affection, which makes checking preferences important before handing anything over. Some items are accepted by most characters and typically grant ten points.

Bulletin Board requests provide noticeable boosts. Simple tasks usually grant around fifteen points. More demanding requests exceed thirty. Regularly reviewing the board creates opportunities for faster progress with specific characters.

Lost items found during exploration can be returned to their owner for twenty points.

Quest progression tied to a character delivers the highest single increases. Profession Mentors in particular can grant up to fifty points through their quest lines. Combining mentor quests with daily interaction produces the most efficient growth pattern.

Affection builds fastest through consistent contact, targeted gifts, and profession quest progress. That combination avoids wasted actions and keeps point gains predictable.

Heart Levels and Unlocks

Each heart milestone unlocks a new feature.

1. Level one, at ninety points, activates return gifts from the character.

2. Level two, at two hundred twenty points, unlocks photo invitations so you can take pictures together.

3. Level three, at three hundred seventy points, grants access to the character’s private room. These rooms typically contain a chest with items.

4. Level four unlocks the ability to post requests on the Bulletin Board on behalf of that character.

5. Level five unlocks the Move In option.

Every milestone affects the gameplay loop in practical ways. Access to private rooms adds resource opportunities. Bulletin Board control improves task management. Move-In changes the living arrangement entirely.

Checking Your Affection Progress

The interface provides both quick and detailed tracking.

During conversations, five hearts appear in the upper left corner of the dialogue window. This view shows your current level at a glance.

The Social app provides precise numbers. Opening the Details tab reveals your exact point total and the amount required for the next heart. The Preferences tab records previous gifts and how the character responded. Reviewing this information prevents accidental point loss from disliked items.

Move-In Explained

Move-In functions as the equivalent of marriage within the game’s structure. After reaching level five, the option becomes available during interaction with the character. The process requires manual confirmation.

The system allows multiple characters to reach level five before choosing a live in partner. Adequate space inside your home is required before inviting someone to move in. Only characters marked with the Bond tag have this option. Youfang remains the single exception among romanceable characters, since cohabitation is not currently supported.

Optimizing Romance Progress

The cleanest way to max affection is through the Profession Mentors. Their quest lines line up with skill progression, so you build your career and your relationship at the same time. Delphin, Pastelle, Zerine, Zephyria, and Graminova all follow structured paths, which makes planning ahead much easier.

Daily conversations matter more than people think. Pair that with a steady flow of Loved gifts and you keep affection moving without long stalls. Checking the Bulletin Board every morning opens up better tasks, and using the Social app to track preferences helps you avoid wasting items on the wrong person.

Romance in Starsand Island rewards consistency. Talk every day, give the right gifts, complete mentor quests, and affection climbs naturally toward level five.
