So, is it? As it turns out, it is, but there are some caveats.

Marvel Rivals is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. All these platforms can play together, but as it turns out, not every option is available.

The following are the modes where you can play with users of different platforms:

  • Practice
  • Quick Match (Convoy, Domination, Convergence)
  • Conquest
  • Custom Game (only in the non-competitive mode)

If you pick the Competitive mode, you will be limited to just the players on the same platform. So, if you play on PC, you will be able to play only with PC users, etc. This is of course to maintain fairness and balance in gameplay.

What about cross-progression, though? Unfortunately, it is unavailable at the moment, so you’ll need to create a new account the moment you switch to a different platform, but this feature is to be introduced in the future.

Marvel Rivals is a third-person hero shooter featuring 33 different characters from the Marvel multiverse, duking it out in 6v6 matches in three modes: Convoy, Domination, and Convergence.

You get to play as

  • Iron Man,
  • Hulk,
  • Captain America,
  • Hawkeye,
  • Doctor Strange,
  • Spider-Man,
  • Rocket Raccoon,
  • Thor, Venom,
  • Wolverine,
  • and more.

A right combination of heroes on a team allows for Dynamic Hero Synergy, making heroes even more efficient and powerful. The game is free to play
