Final Thoughts
June 2026’s Nintendo Direct was a strong showcase for the Switch 2’s future.
Nintendo delivered nostalgia with Ocarina of Time and Star Fox, new first-party energy with Xenoblade Genesis and Splatoon Raiders, plus a huge third-party push across RPGs, action games, ports and remasters.
Whether you came for Zelda, Xenoblade, Kingdom Hearts, Metaphor, Fire Emblem, or just wanted to see what Nintendo’s next hardware wave looks like, this Direct had something to talk about.
Bottom line: Switch 2’s 2026 lineup suddenly looks very busy, and the Ocarina of Time reveal alone made this Direct one to remember.
