Fall anime season is here, and Crunchyroll’s lineup is packed. If you do not feel like digging through dozens of titles, this list covers the ones actually worth your time.
From chaotic comedies to slow-life fantasy, it is shaping up to be a strong season that mixes returning favorites with new experiments.
My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me!
- Premieres October 5
- Genre: Comedy, Romance, School Anime
My Friend’s Little Sister Has It In for Me! (Tomodachi no Imouto ga Ore ni dake Uzai) is one of the season’s most highly anticipated series. This adaptation, produced by Studio Blade, walks the delicate line between romance, comedy, and slice of life. Based on a well-liked light novel, the story centers around a love triangle involving Akiteru, Iroha (the titular sister), and Mashiro. The provocative nature of the title may contribute to its high anticipation.
Plus-sized Misadventures in Love!
- Premieres October 6
- Genre: Comedy, Romance Anime
This title, known in Japanese as Debu to Love to Ayamachi to!, presents a refreshing take in the realm of romance anime, which often rarely deviates when it comes to body types. The story revolves around Yumeko, a girl who begins a journey of self-love, and explores how her positive attitude influences those around her. This Marvy Jack adaptation, based on the manga by Mamakari, is an exciting and different addition to the Fall 2025 romance catalog.
Gintama Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class
- Premieres October 6
- Genre: Comedy, Animation Anime
The Gintama franchise returns, though in a slightly different format than its famous traditional sci-fi epic. The series, subtitled 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei, sees Ginpachi taking on the role of a teacher at what is described as potentially the most chaotic school in Japan. While the original Gintama focused on a lazy samurai trying to make ends meet in Edo, this spin-off promises guaranteed hilarity. The series is directed by Makoto Moriwaki and features returning voice actors like Tomokazu Sugita as Gintoki Sakata and Ginpachi-sensei.
Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (Season 2)
- Premieres October 7
- Genre: Animation, Action and Adventure, Sci-Fi, Fantasy Anime
Fans can rejoice as Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi) is back for its second season. While the Fall 2025 season includes many fantasy anime about being transported to another world and many shows about cooking, Campfire Cooking distinguishes itself by being a remarkably chill, wholesome, slow-life anime. The series focuses on an ordinary office worker who is summoned to another world, equipped only with a frying pan and great cooking skills, which he uses to make bizarre new recipes and strengthen his bonds with his familiars. The show is often praised for being wholesome fluff in the best possible way, and though Season 2 may ramp up the stakes, it is not strictly necessary for enjoyment. This season is based on the light novel by Ren Eguchi and produced by Studio MAPPA.
GNOSIA
- Premieres October 11
- Genre: Based on Visual Novel
GNOSIA is a highly intriguing anime adaptation of the 2019 visual novel originally released on the PlayStation Vita. The premise is likened to “Among Us, the anime”. The plot unfolds on a ship drifting through space where the crew becomes paranoid and suspicious after an alien creature, known as Gnosia, takes human form and begins attacking the crew. The crew attempts to contain the threat by voting daily on the most suspicious person and putting them into cryosleep.
One-Punch Man (Season 3)
- Premieres October 12
- Genre: Comedy, Sci-Fi and Fantasy, Action, Animation Anime
The return of One-Punch Man (OPM) for its third season is a big deal, but expectations are cautious. Season 1 set the bar high with sharp animation, strong pacing, and a mix of action and humor that still holds up. Season 2, on the other hand, left many fans underwhelmed. Now, with Season 3 on the horizon and little footage shown ahead of launch, there’s hope it can bring the series back to form. Makoto Furukawa returns as Saitama, and Kaito Ishikawa as Genos.
With You, Our Love Will Make It Through
- Premieres October 14
- Genre: Fantasy, Romance Anime
This Millepensee adaptation, With You, Our Love Will Make It Through (Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru), delves into the realm of interspecies romance. The story follows a young girl named Mari who initially harbors some fear regarding the integration of beastfolk into her school. She gradually develops a close bond with Tsunagu, learning that they share commonalities and that there is nothing to fear, resulting in a sweet love story.
What’s Worth Watching
If you want something chaotic, Gintama: Mr. Ginpachi’s Zany Class is an easy pick. For laid-back fantasy, Campfire Cooking stays unbeatable. Plus-sized Misadventures in Love and With You, Our Love Will Make It Through bring a more human side to romance anime. GNOSIA looks like the season’s dark horse, especially for fans of mystery or visual novels. And One-Punch Man returning to form would be the comeback everyone is waiting for.
