Nolla Games, a new studio created by people formerly responsible by The Swapper, released a trailer for their new game – Noita.
It’s a roguelike dungeon explorer with procedurally generated caverns but the secret lies in the programmers trick to “simulate every pixel”. Just take a look:
As you can see this technique allows for a wealth of possibilities. Using the main characters staff you can interact with the environment in various ways like lighting up with fire a gas-filled chamber to fry your enemies. Or turn a lava lake into a bridge for a safe crossing.
The possibilities seem endless and Noita looks really exciting. We have no information about the date of release, only that the title is PC bound.
