It’s not a surprise that expansions are coming, but now we know when to expect them.
As you already know, Destiny 2 is happening and it’s a rather quick debut. The gameplay from the game will be presented on May 18th and the full release is scheduled for September 8th. Two editions with a Season Pass were announced so the existence of expansions isn’t a surprise.
What’s more surprising is the fact that the first DLC will release during Winter 2017. The second add-on from the Expansion Pass will be available somewhere through Spring 2018. As the leak from GameStop states, those expansions “offer brand new story missions, co-operative activities, competitive multiplayer, and a wealth of new weapons, armour, and gear.”
Well, hopefully Bungie and Activision aim to achieve the level of The Taken King and not The Dark Below from the original Destiny…
