Ubisoft has delayed the release of Prophecies of Ash and Patch 1.5 for Anno 117: Pax Romana by one week after discovering what it described as a potentially savegame-breaking issue in version 1.5. The update and DLC are now scheduled to launch on April 30, 2026, instead of April 23.
Patch notes, which had previously been planned for April 22, are now expected by Monday, April 27, according to the studio’s latest Anno Union update.

What Prophecies of Ash and Patch 1.5 Add
The delay affects the game’s first major DLC, Prophecies of Ash, which Ubisoft previously said would introduce the volcanic island of Cinis, new obsidian-based production chains, and a set of volcano-related mechanics tied to the expansion.
In an earlier April roadmap update, Ubisoft positioned the DLC as the first of three Year 1 expansions planned for 2026, with The Hippodrome due in August and Dawn of the Delta in November.
Patch 1.5 is also being pushed back with the DLC. Before the delay, Ubisoft had outlined several changes coming in the free update, including a passive trade rebalance, trade route interface improvements, zoom and pan controls for the mini-map, DLC activation during an ongoing save, and a new workforce priority system.
Ubisoft Says Anno 117 Has Reached 1.17 Million Players
Alongside the delay notice, Ubisoft shared a more positive milestone for the game, saying Anno 117: Pax Romana has reached 1.17 million players. The company did not provide a sales breakdown, so that figure appears to refer to total players rather than units sold.
Another Free Weekend Starts April 23
Ubisoft also announced another free weekend for the city builder, running from April 23 through April 27. According to the Anno Union post, the trial includes the full base game, is not time-limited during that window, and lets players carry over their save if they later buy the game.
The latest post did not specify platforms for this new free weekend, though Ubisoft’s previous free weekend for the game in February was offered on Ubisoft Connect, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Launch Timing and Roadmap Context
Anno 117: Pax Romana originally launched on November 12, 2025, according to its Steam store page. Ubisoft had been using April to spotlight the upcoming expansion through Anno Day coverage, roadmap posts, and development blogs before confirming the last-minute delay.
For now, Ubisoft says the extra week is meant to avoid shipping a build that could damage player saves. That means Anno 117’s next major content drop is still close, but it will now arrive at the end of the month instead of this week.
