Atomega - Ubisoft's new shooter revealed

But it’s not quite what you would expect.

Ubisoft has released a trailer for a completely new IP in their portfolio – a futuristic shooter called Atomega. Take a look:

The twist here is that you do not have to shoot anyone, but rather collect mass, which allows evolving into creatures of greater size and strength. Mass can be collected peaceful or taken from other players by dematerializing (well, killing) them.

The game is set at the end of time when only Exoforms exist. They are postbiological entities which are said to be “the last distant relative to man and machine.” They decide to fight for dominance and that’s where the player comes in.

Atomega supports 4v4 in ten-minute matches, and it’s going to release on Steam on September 19.
