Get ready to jump into a different battlefield.

A new update for DICE’s World War I shooter has given the game its biggest weapon rebalance since launch. It is available in the Community Test Environment as September Weapons Balance.

All weapon classes will get improvements or nerfs in their kill time and effectiveness. Light Machine Guns and SMGs do more damage, rifles have more accuracy and shotguns get better pellet dispersion. But it’s just the surface.

DICE explains:

“We’re tweaking many weapon values to get them to feel more powerful and to slightly reduce the disparity in raw time to kill between fast firing and slow firing weapons. This should get most of the weapons to reach a time-to-kill closer to that of Battlefield 4 and allow players with great weapon control and mechanical skills to have a better chance dealing with multiple enemies and coming out victorious of a duel even if they start with a health disadvantage.”

Feels like a good time to return to the game.
