Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival has a new trailer and a free Steam demo, giving horror fans two ways to revisit the Labyrinth before the full game launches on October 8, 2026.
The latest trailer focuses on the Scarlet Church, a human cult led by Marlowe and hunting for the supernatural Genesis Configuration. Judging by the footage, the Cenobites are far from the only people protagonist Aidan will need to worry about.
The demo, meanwhile, lets players experience the opening portion of the game for themselves. It includes the Prologue and part of Episode 1, introducing combat, crafting, puzzles, the Labyrinth, and the Scarlet Church.
Save data from the demo will not carry over into the full game.
A new Hellraiser story
Hellraiser: Revival is the first full video game built around Clive Barker’s long-running horror series, which began with his novella The Hellbound Heart and the 1987 movie Hellraiser.
The series centers on supernatural puzzle boxes, the nightmarish realm known as the Labyrinth, and the Cenobites, beings whose ideas about pain and pleasure make them particularly unpleasant company.
Revival tells a new story rather than adapting one of the movies directly. Aidan enters the Labyrinth while searching for his girlfriend, Sunny, and gains access to the Genesis Configuration, a new puzzle box that also provides supernatural abilities.
Warning: the trailer is not particularly Safe For Work, thematically. You might want to put off seeing it until you’re off the clock.
What kind of game is Hellraiser: Revival?
Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games describe Revival as a single-player first-person action survival horror game.
Aidan can fight cultists and supernatural creatures with ranged and melee weapons, while the Genesis Configuration adds its own powers to combat. Exploration, puzzles, crafting, and weapon upgrades are also part of the full game.
Longtime Hellraiser fans also have one particularly familiar voice to look forward to: Doug Bradley is returning as Pinhead, reprising the role he first played in Barker’s original movie.
The Steam demo is available now, while the full game is scheduled for October 8, 2026.
