In the new remake, Konami has prepared many new changes for players, such as new audiovisuals, as well as a number of special editions and bonuses for those who decide to pre-order.

When Can We Expect the Release?
We won’t have to wait long for Snake’s return! This full-fledged remake of one of the most acclaimed instalments in the series will be released on 28 August 2025.
According to Metal Gear Solid Δ Snake Eater remake news, console gamers will be able to start playing at midnight in their time zone. As for PC players, they will have to wait 9–11 hours longer for access.
However, this won’t limit anyone, because the good news is that regardless of your preferred platform, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in this legendary adventure. This is because the game will be released simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam).
What About Early Access?
As mentioned above, the developers have provided extra bonuses for players.
One of these is 48 hours of early access to the game when they purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition. This allows players to start their adventure at midnight on 26 August.
Game Edition and Pre-Release Bonus
Konami has prepared several editions of Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, which vary in content and price. This means that there is something for everyone.
Players can choose from the following:
- The Tactical Edition, which includes the base game and a cosmetic bonus, is priced at $69.99.
- The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the “Sneaking DLC Pack”, additional cosmetics and 48-hour early access, all for $79.99.
- The Collector’s Edition includes everything from the Tactical Edition, plus physical extras: a terrarium diorama, a steel book, a patch, a keychain, a Snake ID badge and an LED figurine, all for $199.99.
Each edition also comes with a White Tuxedo outfit bonus, which is normally only available in-game.
Additionally, players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive the Sneaking DLC Pack, which adds new outfits (Battle Dress, Sneaking Suit, Crocodile, Naked and Gold), accessories (various types of glasses) and the iconic Kerotan and GA-KO masks to the game.

Alongside various editions and pre-release bonuses, the remake introduces several new gameplay features.
First and foremost, this remake is being developed using Unreal Engine 5, which offers realistic graphics, refined character models, environmental effects and 3D audio. Players can choose between two control styles: the classic Legacy Style and the modern New Style.
The developers have also updated mini-games such as the iconic Snake vs. Monkey and Snake vs. Bomberman.
