Fans of the spectacular third-person Darksiders series have been eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the fourth installment ever since Gunfire Games teased it a year ago.

And for the first time ever, all Four Horsemen – War, Death, Fury, and Strife – will be playable together in a brand-new adventure set on a post-apocalyptic Earth, picking up right after the cliffhanger ending of Darksiders.

These Seals were meant to signal the End Times – but as fans will remember, their manipulation in the first game triggered the Apocalypse far too soon.

With new technologies and a fresh approach, the finale of the story of the Four Horsemen promises to be impressive – the game is expected to use Unreal Engine 5, offering stunning visuals, dynamic lighting and refined effects. In addition, the implementation of the Ray-Traced Hellfire system has been announced, which is expected to give the hellish locations an even more realistic look.
