Until now, the feature was available only to PC players.
Diablo III is getting a lot of love from Blizzard with constant content updates. But when it comes to platform differences, PC players have received much more since the release and Seasons were a much requested feature on consoles.
Starting on March 31st at 5 PM PDT the first Season will begin on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. During this “event” you create a fresh character and start filling various objectives that are a part of Chapters. There are also unique Challenges specific to a Seasonal Hero like completing the whole game in one hour.
Unique gear and vanity rewards are offered for taking part in Seasons, and your character changes into a standard hero when a Season ends. Don’t be surprised as the first event on consoles is named Season 10 to “create parity between console and PC / Mac players going forward.” As always, you’ll find additional details on Battle.net.
