Another gaming IP is going to the cinema in the upcoming years.
The people responsible for Fast and Furious are now bringing Sleeping Dogs to big screen. Donnie Yen will star in a movie produced by Neal Moritz’s Original Film. You should remember Yen from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and as the Force is with him and he is one with force, here’s the official synopsis:
[The story] follows an undercover police officer (Yen) on a mission to take down one of the most powerful and dangerous criminal organizations in the world: the notorious Triads. The movie based on an action video game is set in Hong Kong and focuses on martial arts fighting, racing, boat chases … and shooting while doing all of that.
DJ2 Entertainment is co-producing the movie, with Neal Moritz, Dmitri Johnson and Dan Jevons serving as producers. No release date was shared at this moment.
