While March had some interesting releases and platform ports, none come close to the conversation-shaping launch of the long-awaited Dragon’s Dogma 2, a new version of the cult classic open world action RPG from Capcom.
After twelve long years since the first game’s launch, Dragon’s Dogma 2 finally arrived on March 22, 2024. It quickly became the talk of the town, so to speak, partially because of its ability to create memorable moments and scenarios through dynamic monster encounters.
You could be happily disposing of goblins who harassed the oxcart taking you to another town only to see the cart wrecked to splinters by a divebombing griffin or an upset minotaur. The game is full of moments like these, and they will stick in your mind for a while.
DD2 will feel immediately familiar to anyone who remembers the original, but there’s plenty of new elements to be excited for, like new classes, new world, and even new species existing alongside humans.
It’s also a great idea to hop into the game while the community is at its most active. The more players are active, the more NPC hirelings, called Pawns, are available for recruitment to your party, sharing their talents and knowledge of quests and treasure.
