What We Know So Far

Dying Light The Beast release date has been rescheduled one day earlier as a thank-you for reaching 1 million pre-orders. Franchise director Tymon Smektała said: “Seeing the excitement from our community for the return of Kyle Crane in Dying Light: The Beast, and knowing the game is ready, we wanted to do something special for our players.”

Key confirmed details include:

  • New open world zombie region – Castor Woods, an abandoned wilderness area
  • Over 18 hours of campaign content, plus side quests
  • Crane’s new “beast mode” powers, granting him bursts of superhuman strength

Community Reaction

Gaming community is very excited, prasing not only the bonuses but also the game’s darker atmosphere. Fans are especially thrilled about the return to the original gritty tone of Dying Light and Kyle Crane once again taking the lead role.

Last year’s Gamescom previews gave us an early look at what to expect from The Beast. As the title hints, the true beast is the player. After surviving imprisonment and cruel experiments, Crane has developed feral abilities that surface when he’s pushed to the edge.

His rage fuels these transformations – in gameplay terms, that means his beast powers activate after taking or dealing a significant amount of damage.

Dying Light The Beast release date is on 18 September. Pre-order now and don’t miss out on three exclusive rewards before launch.

Global time of game’s release:

  • 5 PM BST (London) – Thu, Sept 18
  • 6 PM CEST (Berlin) – Thu, Sept 18
  • 2 AM AEST (Sydney) – Fri, Sept 19
  • 4 AM NZST (Wellington) – Fri, Sept 19
