Developers don’t disappear, they change studios.
Such is the lesson we can draw from watching the fates of developers, writiers etc. leaving their old studios behind. They usually find their way to other studios to work on other projects. This time this happened to the people who have worked on Hitman and The Division games in the past, establishing their own studio called Sharkmob.
It’s composed of ex-Ubisoft and ex-IO devs, and their first project is said to involve a cult classic, live-services, and competitive multiplayer-first experience. Let’s hope is turns out more interesting than it sounds when presented like that.
The core team is composed of five people, with Fredrik Rundqvist as the CEO.
