Ashes of the Singularity, a futuristic real-time strategy launched in April this year has received a stand-alone expansion, called Escalation.
Escalation has a lot of new features and improvements over the core game, most of them listed in the official launch log on the developer’s forum. Some of the highlights are:
- Memories – A different perspective on the events of the main game
- Battles handling over a dozen players at a time
- New orbital abilities
- New world types
- UI reskinned for aesthetic and gameplay improvements
- Improved performance across the board
Ashes of the Singularity is developed by Oxide Games and Stardock Entertainment, the people who previously created the Sins of a Solar Empire. The game is set in 2178, when humanity fully committed to becoming a space-faring species. Unfortunately, there is a force called The Substrate that has some issues with it.
