Gears of War 4 October update brings a lot of new stuff

It’s out today.

The latest update to Gears of War 4 will be a big one and comes with a couple of interesting additions to the game.

First of it’s the Halloween stuff which means new characters to collect, new weapon skins and “spooky-themed-events.” The celebrations start October 27.

Then we have the Xbox One X support. In preparation for the November launch of the enhanced console, users can now download the files needed for the 4K resolution in the game.

Finally, there will be two new maps to look forward two: Lift Apex and Fuel Depot. Season Pass holders can play both of these maps first with Double XP and 20% Bonus Credits starting on October 23. These maps will be available for all to play for free in Public Matchmaking on October 30.
