The story is complete as it is.
The multiplayer component of Grand Theft Auto 5 has been steadily broadened by a number of expansions adding various game modes, weapons, cars and a multitude of other things.
Rockstar, however, didn’t feel like there was need for extra single player content, as the whole package felt complete, according to director of design Imran Sarwar.
There is a big love for solo content within the company but with the manpower concentrated on other platform versions of GTA 5 and production of Red Dead Redemption 2 there simply weren’t enough resources to make content of quality that the fans expect.
“As a company, we love single-player more than anything and believe in it absolutely – for storytelling and a sense of immersion in a world, multiplayer games don’t rival single-player games.”
So even though vague promises were made back in 2014 it’s clear that nothing will be released or announced in the near future.
