Halo Wars 2 will get a new expansion this year

Did you like the latest entry to the Halo universe? It’s getting an expansion.

Halo Wars 2 was a pretty solid game that scratched that itch of Halo fans who were left underwhelmed by the latest big FPS entry to the saga (though it was a very solid game). And now Microsoft announced that the game will receive a big expansion, Awakening the Nightmare.

You know who’s coming back along with the game? The Flood! This time around you’ll be controlling the baddies from Halo Wars 2, the Banished, who will try to stop the Flood. Good luck with that. Microsoft said that a new solo campaign, units and maps are coming.

The expansion will be available this fall on PC and Xbox One.
