No more multiplayer fun.
Hawken is a fine mech shooter in its own right but unfortunately not for long. Reloaded Games, the devs behind the free-to-play title, announced that they are shutting down the PC servers of the game.
“It’s been an incredible journey since the introduction of Hawken on Steam, back in 2014. The game’s success has been largely due to your continuous support. The Hawken community has been the cornerstone of this ever-evolving franchise.”
The Facebook post also mentioned that come January 2 the game and all of its DLC will disappear from Steam and this will be an end to a 3-year-old period of fun.
The game is also available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and judging from the tone of the post that is where the devs focus will remain.
