The acclaimed actor known mostly now for his recent role as Suoperman in the Man of Steel has been revealed as the one to jump into the boots of the infamous Witcher.

To most of us the casting choice came us a surprise, but as the showrunner Lauren Hissrich assured us, this was her pick from the very start. She stated that Cavill was very stoked about the role and with his enthusiasm for the role, managed to completely sell his performance as Geralt.

Cavill is certainly not a bad actor and he can certainly kick all kinds of ass, but many have voiced the concern that he may be too in-line with the Hollywood beauty standard to play Geralt. Which is nothing makeup and costume can’t hide, but I’m still skeptical myself.

Not much news on other actors, but the big one is out of the way now.
