Developers are still working on Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, fine-tuning every aspect of the gameplay. That’s why they decided to run a closed beta test, which will provide them with essential data to improve the game’s quality.
Arc System Works is doing this for two big reasons: netcode and UI testing. In other words, it’s about making sure the interface and game responsiveness work correctly and smoothly. You’ll be able to test Marvel Tokon from September 5 to 7. On the first day, the game will be available in the PDT timezone, and on the second day in JST and UTC time zones.
There’s one more catch – this title will be a PS5 exclusive, available only to console fans, although the full version is still planned to be released on PC as well. These kinds of games are all about competition, but you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the full experience. The beta test will include a selection of supervillains and superheroes to choose from:

- Star-Lord
- Storm
- Mr. Marvel
- Captain America
You’ll get to throw down with other players and be the Arc System Works Marvel fighter, either online or offline through lobby matches. There’s also a tutorial if you want to get a feel for the game first, plus a spectator mode so you can watch the action go down. The beta’s running with rollback netcode, too, so matches should feel smooth even if your opponent’s halfway across the world.

To register for the Marvel Tokon closed beta, you just have to:
- Visit the official PlayStation Marvel Tokon beta website and log in with your PSN account.
- Find the Closed Beta section.
- Click on the Register Now button.
- A new tab will open, fill out the required information and submit it.
- Check your email to see if you’ve been accepted.
Don’t forget to check your spam or junk folder just in case. The confirmation message should come from PlayStation or the Marvel Tokon Beta team. Sometimes it can take a few hours, or even up to a day, so be patient.
