Gamescom 2025 is a real treat for video games fans!

Just a few months ago, Lords of The Fallen received an update to version 2.0, and CI Games is not slowing down, delivering us another two, but in the form of a sequel – Lords of The Fallen 2 – coming in 2026.

A Trailer Worthy of Dark Souls IV – What Was Shown?

The headline might be a slightly exaggerated comparison, but seriously, for a long while, I was convinced I was watching a preview of a new game from the Dark Souls or Elden Ring series. Gore, heavy black armor, an angel grasping a powerful sword from the dark fantasy world, and then crushing the hero’s head with its third and fourth hand – a Miyazaki’s work written all over it.

The Lords of the Fallen may not have had the best start as a reboot. Nevertheless, you can’t take away from the developers at CI Games that after a rough start, they didn’t give up and abandon the title. They have shown great determination – providing continuous updates to systems that were underperforming, bug fixes, additional content, and ultimately delivering practically a new experience through patch 2.0.

Ngl – Free Friend’s Pass is such a good deal in Lords of The Fallen (2023)

The action of the second installment is set to take place 100 years after the events of the original. Developers assure that the game was directly designed in response to feedback from players. Lords of The Fallen 2 does not shy away from showing mass executions, violence, and gore, and is meant to be true dark fantasy without any compromises! The game is being built on Unreal Engine 5, so we can expect amazing graphics, coupled with great optimization.

What sets Lords of The Fallen apart from other Soulslike games is the fact that the entire campaign can be played in co-op mode. This is quite different from what Elden Ring offers, which focuses on summoning a friend or another Tarnished only in designated spots, for example right by a boss. Let’s not forget about PvP, which will also be present in CI Games’ production.

It just gives “old game cinematic reveal trailer” type vibe, and it’s amazing

Stirring up hype can be considered a mission accomplished. But it also raises the question – where is the gameplay?! The only thing we can glean from the trailer is the platforms on which the game will be released – PC via Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The exact release date is not yet known; we only know that it’s worth keeping an eye on the sequel to Lords of The Fallen in 2026.
