The strategic multi-year partnership between Microsoft and AMD seeks to make the next generation of the Xbox platform a game-changer for the entire industry.

AMD will be involved in not just co-creating the new Xbox, but also building the next generation of Xbox Cloud Gaming, as announced by Xbox’s president, Sarah Bond. Technology-wise, this means next-level performance, cutting-edge graphics, and unmatched compatibility, as stated via a post on Xbox’s X profile.

The aim is to offer a seamless experience across consoles, Windows, cloud streaming, and handhelds. Xbox will also no longer be limited to just one store, instead opening up to Steam, Epic Games Store, and more. Backwards compatibility has also been mentioned.

As it seems, Windows will probably be the focus as far as gaming platforms are concerned during the development of the next generation of Windows.
