The children yearn for the hunt, it seems. Monster Hunter Wilds, the latest release in the long-running series, is clearing milestone after milestone in a matter of days.

A few days ago we reported on MHWs nearing the elusive 1 million concurrent players on Steam, and, of course, it hopped over that bar just hours later. In the few days since release it peaked at nearly 1.4 million concurrent players on Steam alone.

What’s even more impressive is that, according to Capcom’s own reporting1, it sold 8 million copies in just three days, the fastest any Capcom game has ever cleared that particular milestone.

It’s also incredible that in three days Wilds got nearly half the sales MH World scored over three years, as reported by Capcom in 20212

To see Monster Hunter, a franchise which before World was relatively unknown in the West, now sell faster and better than the likes of Street Fighter or Resident Evil is truly something nobody could have expected.

Monster Hunter Wilds is now out, and the first Title Update (bringing, among other things, at least two more monsters to hunt) is scheduled for early April. If you’d like to hop into its stunning environments, check the deals on our marketplace and join millions of hunters already loving the game!
