It’s the perfect time to return to this ultimate, momentum-based platformer and experience all the new content Metanet Software has prepared for us.
Metanet Software Releases a Huge Update to Celebrate 10 Years of N
N++, which is a highly addictive and extremely unforgiving platform game, was around for 10 years already. The developers have concluded that the community deserves something extra for keeping the game alive for so long, and so they decided to add more content as a thank-you gift on this special occasion. And when we say “a gift”, we mean it; TEN update is totally free, no strings attached.
The update is already available on the Steam platform and is expected to hit the other platforms soon, if it’s not already there.
N 2025 October Update – What’s New?
The 10th anniversary update for N , called TEN to connect it with the number 10, brings plenty of new hand-crafted levels that are particularly challenging, plus new color palettes to further customize your experience and make the game look the way you want.
If you feel like you’ve already mastered the game, think again, because the new levels are supposed to be the absolute peak, the crème de la crème of challenging content in the platformer genre. Developers jokingly said it will take you years to master these stages but knowing the developers and the game as a whole, it wouldn’t be surprising if it’s actually true.
Quoting the devs: “no way anyone 100%’s it… for real this time!”. So, are you up for the challenge?
New Metanet Game in The Making
Apart from releasing a new N update, Metanet hinted that they’re busy working on a new game that fans of N should find appealing. The details are unknown yet, but the developers invite all interested players to sign up for the newsletter on the official website – that’s where the news related to the new project are expected to be found the soonest.
About N
N is a third and final installment in the hardcore platformer video game series that began with a simple flash game called N: The Way of The Ninja. The game implements fluid movement and features minimalist landscapes that put emphasis on visual clarity. N follows a very simple set of rules, allowing you to jump right into the game without needing to learn overly complicated gameplay mechanics, making it a perfect title for short, bite-sized gaming sessions.
What you will need to learn, though, is how to control the character to avoid all the obstacles and get safely to your destination – it can get very tricky, especially in the later stages.
N offers hundreds of stages to beat and thousands more custom levels made by the community. There is also a local co-op available, as well as the hardcore mode for those who are looking for an even bigger challenge.
The game was critically acclaimed and won several awards, such as IndieCade 2014 Special Recognition Award and 2015 Canadian Videogames Fans Choice award.
