And it seems to be an interesting cross-over between NN and Icewind Dale. Created by fantasy author Luke Scull, Doom of Icewind Dale is a brand-new adventure in the Forgotten Realms, offering lots of new stuff to keep things fresh for the fans of the base game.
Content-wise, the DLC offers around 15 hours – or even more – of gameplay. It introduces 114 new areas in the Icewind Dale to explore, including a bunch of the Ten Towns, the Dwarven Valley, the Reghed Glacier, and the Icewind Pass. You can recruit 5 different companions, some returning from the previous campaigns (Wailing Death and Tyrants of the Moonsea). You will get a chance to slice and dice 14 new monsters and feast your ears on plenty of new music composed specifically for the expansion.
That’s not all, folks. Doom of Icewind Dale is just the first campaign in The Blades of Netheril series, which seeks to continue the Neverwinter Nights saga and keep it alive for years to come.
