IO Interactive confirms.

As was promised before the Game of the Year edition of the latest Hitman game has hit the shelves. Or Steam, to be more precise. It includes a new four-mission campaign, additional weapons, suits, and challenges, and the reactivation of Elusive Targets. But that’s not the biggest news.

IO Interactive, after acquiring its independence not so long ago, has recently been quiet about the projects they are working on. Until CEO Hakan Abrak confirmed that the next big thing is the next Hitman.

“One last thing about our next Hitman game; I want to let you know that we’re making great progress and we have exciting new features and some franchise firsts, which we can’t wait to tell you all about. You’ll have to wait a little longer as we don’t plan to start talking about that until some point in 2018.”

It’s obviously a long way away, but judging by the quality of the last installment it’s well worth waiting for.
