Season 10: Nighthaven is officially live. If you already own New World: Aeternum, you can access the entire update for free.
The patch launched on Monday, October 13, and it brings a completely new zone, a challenging 10 player raid, and a reworked endgame progression system.
New World Aeternum Nighthaven Season 10
PC players who missed the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion are in luck. It is now included with the base game at no extra cost.
If you bought it within the last 30 days, Steam will automatically issue a refund. You do not need to take any action, just wait up to 72 hours.
Here is what Season 10 Adds on Day One
Nighthaven Zone
This is not just another map. Nighthaven is larger, more complex, and demands deeper exploration. The environment features uncharted catacombs and multi level castles.
There are fewer quest markers, so players who explore thoroughly will find better rewards. Expect minimal hand holding and a strong focus on discovery.
Main Story Progression
The narrative continues with the search for the missing Tear of Gaea. Morgaine attempted to hide it, but its location is still uncertain. As you explore the ruins of Nighthaven, you will meet new characters and face hard choices. Trust is rare here.
Catacombs Mode
This is a three player dungeon mode built around procedural generation. Every boss you defeat increases the challenge and the rewards. However, you must extract your loot before time runs out. If you fail, most of the rewards are lost. Only one player needs to extract successfully for the group to keep the loot. The mode introduces two currencies, Sterlings and Crowns. Crowns drop starting with the second boss.
Isle of Night Raid
A 10 player raid set in a fallen kingdom overtaken by the Lost. The raid features three bosses and puzzle mechanics. It is one of the most difficult activities in Season 10, so group coordination is critical.
Endgame Overhaul: Gear, Perks, and Progression
The level cap is now 70 and the maximum Gear Score is 800. The gear system has changed completely. Attribute perks are no longer tied to gear. Instead, attribute points come from leveling and food buffs. The Hearty perk has been removed. To compensate, dodge cost is now reduced globally.
