Saitama ’em up.
If you’ve never heard about One Finger Death Punch before, it’s understandable, although you’ve missed out on a brilliant little game with a title that lies to you: you certainly need two fingers to play it. All you need to know at this point is that it’s very simple, very engaging, incredibly responsive, and requires more precision and reflexes than you’d expect from a game like that.
And now it’s getting a sequel, slated for a 2019 release. What changes? Juding by the trailer below the monochromatic stickmen got some clothes, and the central stick can also dodge, a type of animation unseen in the first game, where all you could do was punch, slap, smash, rip, and tear. Heroes don’t dodge. Or something. Anyway, take a look yourself.
Apparently the subtle icons representing the Kung Fu styles in the first game were replaced by some much more on-the-nose images of heroes and demons. Somehow it fits. If its anything like the its predecessor One Finger Death Punch 2 is going to be consciously cheesy and ridiculous.
The original game can be grabbed for a song for instance of Steam, and I heartily recommend it. It’s dirt cheap in relation to how much fun it can give.
