For fans of ATLUS productions, the Xbox Game Showcase was an event they won’t forget anytime soon. The main reason?

The trailer for the long-awaited remake of the fourth installment in the Persona series.

Although the trailer didn’t reveal much in terms of combat, the confidant system, or daytime activities, it primarily focused on the visual and stylistic aspects that players will experience in Persona 4 Revival.

Fans of the iconic JRPG quickly noticed that the locations shown in the trailer weren’t random. But what exactly was revealed?

Comparing Persona 4 Revival Trailer Locations with the Original

Tatsuhime Shrine

Shortly after a scene showing an unspecified field and a bridge, we catch a glimpse of what appears to be a shrine. Although the location hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, many fans believe it to be Tatsuhime Shrine. This location allows players to boost their school-related stats and improve the Social Link they are currently working on. Additionally, the protagonist may receive one of the following outcomes:

  • Fair luck: the protagonist finds ¥1,000
  • Little luck: the protagonist finds ¥500
  • Bad luck: the protagonist loses ¥1,000

Yasogami High School

Next, the trailer shows us a TV – and that’s no coincidence. The Midnight Channel is one of the core narrative elements in Persona 4 Golden, preceding major events and the appearance of characters you need to rescue (even though Persona 4 is an older title, I’ll avoid spoilers here, as it’s worth experiencing this adventure firsthand). On the TV screen, we see a classroom from Yasogami High School – the school the protagonist transfers to.

Central Shopping District

The last revamped location shared by ATLUS is the Central Shopping District. It’s safe to say this is a place where players will spend a lot of time. It offers equipment upgrades, shops, and access to the Velvet Room – essentially functioning as a central hub. Here’s how the remade version looks:

Summary

As we can see, despite the trailer being relatively short, it showcased some of the most crucial locations familiar to fans of the original Persona 4. Of course, this overview doesn’t yet include other iconic areas like the Dungeons, the protagonist’s room, the Velvet Room, and many others.

As of now, Persona 4 Revival doesn’t have a confirmed release date. We know the game will be available on platforms such as Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. There’s also speculation that the Switch 2 might join that lineup. Even though the release is still “shrouded in mystery,” we recommend keeping an eye on G2A News, where we’ll be sharing the latest updates about Persona 4 Revival.
