Pillars of Eternity II reaches $3 million in crowdfunding

Subtitled Deadfire, the planned sequel has some stretch goals left until Fig’s campaign end.

There are less than four days until Pillars of Eternity II: Deadifre’s crowdfunding campaign on Fig ends. Combining player’s pledges and investor funds, the game gathered $3 million, which is 278% of the initial goal of $1.1 million.

With $3 million pledged, it’s now confirmed that companion relationships will be added into the gameplay. If you need a reminder of how they work, take a look at the video embedded below. The next stretch goal is set at $3.25 million and, if pledged, will guarantee sidekicks – four additional characters. To us they seem like poor man’s version of companions, but you can read more about them in Fig’s update.
