As every month, two weeks after the announcement of new PlayStation Plus Essential games, it’s time for a new batch of titles for the Extra and Premium tiers.
Special attention should go to WWE 2K25 and Persona 5 Tactica, which were both released last year. According to critics and players alike, these are titles worth playing — and let’s be honest, WWE will also be a perfect party game to compete against your friends.
Titles Available in PlayStation Plus Extra
Each of the games below will be available starting September 16, but two titles — The Invincible and Conscript — will be available only on PS5.
Here’s the full Extra lineup:
- WWE 2K25 (PS4/PS5) – The latest installment in the wrestling series offers an even bigger roster, realistic presentation, and refined mechanics.
- Persona 5 Tactica (PS4/PS5) – A spin-off of the hit JRPG, blending Phantom Thieves’ style with tactical grid-based combat.
- Green Hell (PS4/PS5) – Craft tools, hunt for food, and fight off diseases while also dealing with the loneliness of survival in the Amazon rainforest.
- Crow Country (PS4/PS5) – Solve puzzles, conserve resources, and uncover a dark mystery.
- Fate/Samurai Remnant (PS4/PS5) – Set in the Fate universe, this action RPG takes you to feudal Japan during the war for the Waxing Moon Ritual.
- The Invincible (PS5) – Based on the novel by Stanislaw Lem, this narrative adventure is about survival and discovery on an alien planet.
- Conscript (PS5) – A pixel-art survival horror set during World War I that mixes exploration, scarce resources, and brutal combat.
As you can see, this month brings a truly interesting and diverse lineup, making September 2025 one of the strongest gaming months of the year!
PlayStation Plus Premium – Game Available in September
The Premium tier has gotten us used to retro classics, and this month is no exception! This time, we’re getting a continuation of Kain’s adventures.
- Legacy of Kain: Defiance (PS4/PS5) – A classic action-adventure that combines two perspectives — Raziel and Kain, heroes well-known from previous installments. The game stands out with its dark atmosphere, filled with gothic aesthetics and an intriguing story that ties together the threads of the Legacy of Kain universe.
Why is it worth playing? Because it’s a piece of gaming history, a gem for fans of dark, nonlinear storytelling, and an example of a game that, at its time, was ahead of the competition in concept and atmosphere.
It’s worth giving this title a chance because it offers a truly satisfying combat system — dynamic battles with the Soul Reaver and Blood Reaver swords give you a real sense of power while still requiring tactical thinking. The mechanic of shifting between the material and spectral realms is also brilliantly executed, opening new opportunities for exploration and puzzle-solving.
