Poland and Vikings join the Civilization VI

Two new factions with scenarios are here while the game receives the Winter 2016 Update.

There was a major patch released by Firaxis Games for Civilization VI. It’s big enough to receive its own name – Winter 2016 Update. Standard size Earth map was added, a new Alert action for units is available (units may be put to sleep until they notice an enemy), and there’s a scenario setup menu.

There are balance changes as well, AI tuning and bug fixes, but additional content was also released. The first one is the Polish Civilization & Scenario Pack. It adds Poland with Jadwiga as the leader – she focuses on mediation, protecting the poor and propagation of Catholicism. The Winged Hussar is their unique Unit with Sukiennice being the unique Building. There’s also a Golden Liberty ability allowing Poland to steal territory from other Civs.

The second add-on is the Vikings Scenario Pack – described as the most detailed scenario available in Civilization VI. There are only 100 turns where you play as Harald Hardrada of Norway, King Canute of the Danes, or Olof Skotkonung of Sweden. You will invade England and France, and raid the Mediterranean Sea.
